The city of Suwanee in Gwinnett County is located about 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. The county was founded back in 1818 and was named in honor of Button Gwinnett, one of the three Georgia signatories of the Declaration of Independence.

- Sims Lake Park
Nature lovers can spend endless hours surrounded by the natural beauty at Sims Lake Park. There are multiple walking and jogging paths, and a nice play area for children. The captivating Sims Lake, the park’s centerpiece, is a sight to behold – move closer to the lake and you’ll see plenty of fish and turtles swimming in its waters.

Visitors will delight in the historic homes, storefronts, and churches which date back to 1870. More attractions can be found along the historic Main Street, including the Burnette-Rogers Pavilion, a vintage caboose, Main Street Park, and PlayTown Suwanee, the city’s largest playground.
